Dr Strasheim studied medicine at the University of Stellenbosch, where he obtained his MB ChB degree in 1984. He then went on to specialise in urology, obtaining his FCS(SA)(Urol) and his MMed(Urol) in 1993. Dr Strasheim is registered as an independent medical practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) (Reg No: MP 0283118)
